The initial consult is free, this includes assessment for suitability. We typically undertake a 3 month trial, this has a monthly subscription. This is followed by a rollover plan (think like mobile phone plans), monthly for the remainder of the time you are on the diet. See our Services page for current pricing.

Preferably. This will initially require weekly prescriptions through your consultant or GP.

For treatment of epilepsy, blood Glucose and blood Ketone testing would be optimal using finger pricking.

Alternatively Ketone urine dipstick sticks from a pharmacy could suffice for other conditions.

Yes weight loss is a potential side effect. However if you don’t need to lose any weight, careful food analysis will be completed to avoid you losing unnecessary weight.

Early responders will see a difference in days, it is possible for late responders to not see changes for 3 months. We typically use a 3 month trial period to determine if there will be any significant change benefit.


If you have a positive response to the treatment, we recommend attempting to wean off the diet after two years, or changing to a milder version.

It depends on your company. You need to check your plan with them. Many will contribute to the cost of a NZ Registered Dietitian (Charlene is a NZ Registered Dietitian).
